About The Festival:
The fifteenth Southampton Beer Festival was held on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th June 2011 with a record
attendance of 3373.
The beer festival was organised and run by unpaid volunteers who are members of the
Southern Hampshire Branch of the
Wessex Region of
CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale).
- Beer of the Festival is voted for by the customers of Southampton Beer Festival.
This year's Beer of the Festival was "Elderado"
from Bowman Ales, Droxford, Hampshire.
The full results were:
Lower strength beers (4.5% abv or below):
- Bowman Ales – Elderado
- Salopian – Lemon Dream
- Summer Wine – Gambit
Higher strength beers (above 4.5% abv):
- Downton – Dark Delight
- Oakleaf – IPA
- Tryst – Raj IPA
- Cider of the Festival is voted for by the customers of Southampton Beer Festival.
This year's Cider of the Festival was "Black Dragon Cider"
from Gwynt y Ddraig,
Pontypridd, Wales.
