Derek Markell - 1936-2006

On 8th October this year, Derek Markell, a much loved and long time member of Southern Hampshire CAMRA, sadly passed away.

Derek's funeral was held at 3pm on Thursday, 19th October at the Hinton Park Woodland Burial Ground .

Derek's family has requested that donations to Water For Africa will be most welcome.

In the evening, many of us were in the Waterloo Arms, Freemantle, Southampton to raise a glass or several in Derek's name. The Waterloo got through 36 gallons of GFB that day including a polypin that was taken to the wake. Cheers Derek!
