Virtually every Eastleigh festival has had a steam locomotive as its logo, recognising that without the coming of the railway and later the engine works, Eastleigh would not even exist! This year we have gone back even more to these roots and used the insignia of the London and South-Western Railway Company, owners of the original lines before they became part of the Southern Railway in the nation-wide amalgamations of 1923. |
