FEBRUARY 2005
Tues 1st	Good Beer Guide 2006 Selection Meeting – Richmond Inn, Portswood – 8:00pm

MARCH 2005
Thurs 3rd – Sun 6th	Belgium Trip A visit to Zythos Beer Festival in St Niklaas (the Belgian equivalent of GBBF). The visit includes three nights B&B in Bruges, coach travel to/from Southampton and trips within Belgium – all for £170. Fri 25th	Monthly Beer Bus – Departing Southampton Central Station (Toys R Us side) – 6:00pm. Destinations TBC. Note: Good Friday Special, a week later than usual and departing earlier. Returning to Southampton for last orders.

APRIL 2005
Sat 9th	Spring Outing – Trip to visit Reading's Good Beer Guide Pubs – Depart Southampton Central Station on the 12:15 train.
Tues 12th	Branch Meeting including Pub of the Year Vote – Duke of Wellington, Bugle Street – 8pm
Wed 13th	Annual Mike King Darts Competition – Waterloo Arms, Freemantle – from 7:30pm. Please let Alex know if you'd like to take part.
Fri 15th	Monthly Beer Bus – Departing Southampton Central Station (Toys R Us side) – 7:30pm. Destinations: Fleur de Lys, Pilley; Hare & Hounds, Sway; Oak, Bank.
MAY 2005
Fri 6th	Branch Social at The Waterloo Arms Beer Festival – 8:00pm onwards
Sat 7th	Branch Social at The Stile Beer Festival – 8:00pm onwards
Tues 10th	Branch AGM – Richmond Inn, Portswood – 8:00pm
Sat 14th	Regional Meeting – Stapleton Arms, Buckhorn Weston, Dorset – Midday.
Fri 20th	Monthly Beer Bus – Departing Southampton Central Station (Toys R Us side) – 7:30pm. Cleveland Bay, Mill Arms, Malt Shovel, Newport Inn.
Thurs 26th	Visit to White Star Brewery – Meet at White Star Brewery, 5 Radcliffe Court, Radcliffe Road, Southampton – 7pm.
Mon 30th	Annual Itchen Navigation pub walk. A stroll along the old Itchen Navigation tow path calling in on a few pubs on the way. Depart from Woodmill Bridge, Southampton at 9:30am, reaching The Black Boy, Winchester around 2:30pm. Usually a pub or two more then a curry. Contact Pete Horn for this event (023 8076 9873 or 079 6880 9291 on the day).
Tues 31st	Leafleting for Southampton Beer Festival – Meet at Waterloo Arms, Freemantle – 7:30pm. Volunteers needed.
JUNE 2005
Tues 7th	Southampton Beer Festival Meeting – Waterloo Arms, Freemantle – 8:00pm
Thurs 9th	Meet the Brewers – Stig Anderson, brewer of Stonehenge Ales, will be at the Guide Dog, Earls Road, Southampton at 8pm. Stonehenge Ales are brewed by Stig at Bunces Brewery, Netheravon. A few of his beers will obviously be available at the bar. Come along and enjoy!
Thurs 16th to Sat 18th	Southampton Beer Festival 2005 Southampton Guildhall, West Marlands Road, Southampton. For more information, see posters in local pubs and https://www.shantscamra.org.uk/archive/beerfestivals/sbf2005/ Staff required – please email staffing@shantscamra.org.uk to volunteer.
Fri 24th	Monthly Beer Bus – Sorry Cancelled – we couldn't book the transport. The planned pubs will now be next month's trip.

JULY 2005

Mon 29th	Annual Informal Cricket knock-about and picnic – Southampton Sports Centre – 12 noon. Meet on the cricket pitch nearest the Dunkirk Road car park, or phone 079 6880 9291 to find out which pitch we've moved to. All standards welcome. Everyone gets to bat and bowl. If it rains we'll retire somewhere dry for the picnic. Please contact Pete for this event.

Sat 12th	Hampshire Beer of the Year Award Presentation to Oakleaf Brewery for Gosport for Hole Hearted. Please note – this has been postponed as it clashed with our Regional meeting and Woking Beer Festival.
Sat 12th	Wessex Regional Meeting – The Bell Inn, Bell Street, Whitchurch, Hampshire, 12 noon.

DECEMBER 2005
Tues 13th	Branch Meeting – Richmond Inn, Portswood, Southampton – 8pm.
Fri 16th	(Sorry, no beer bus this month)
Sat 17th	New Forest Walk and visit to the Oak at Bank's beer festival. This will follow a route described in Hop Press. Meet at the Oak or get the X34/X35 bus from Southampton at 11:25. Pete will lead the Forest Walk and will be on that bus. Phone 079 6880 9291 for contact on the day.
